News Cast 11/7/14

I think this newscast was not our best. There was various problems throughout the whole newscast. I think that the anchors need to look up more but for the most part they did a good job. Mostly i think i need to work on the camera and having it ready. It was all new to me at the time and im looking to improve within the upcoming newscasts.

Finding Nemo Movie Review

Finding Nemo in my opinion is an excellent movie for all ages. Starring actors Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, and Alexander Gould give the movie even more appeal with their comedic acting.This movie was directed by Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich with screenplay done by Andrew Stanton, Bob Peterson, and David Reynolds. Finding Nemo was released in the USA and Canada on May 30, 2003 and made over 70 million dollars in its opening weekend. It ranks number 167 on the IMDB top 250. It has won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature and a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical.
Finding Nemo is about a Clown Fish named Marlin (Albert Brooks) who loses is son, Nemo (Alexander Gould), after Marlin repeatedly telling Nemo not to venture out into the sea. Nemo becomes captured fisherman and is taken away to a Dentist Office in Sydney. Meanwhile Marlin is searching everywhere for his son Nemo and meets a fish named Dory (Played by Ellen DeGeneres), who has short term memory loss, agrees to help Marlin look for Nemo. Malrin and dory search everywhere, whether it is getting directions from fish, facing sharks, or bouncing through jellyfish. Meanwhile at the dentist office the fish plan to escape the fish bowl to go back to their lives in the ocean.
Finding Nemo is a fantastic movie for all ages that can make you laugh or warm your heart. The journey of Marlin and Dory to find Nemo is a unforgettable, hilarious one. I highly recommend this movie. This movie as a great mix of comedy and the love of a family. From the beginning to the end you are attached to the characters. It is a fantastic movie i give it a 4.5 out of 5

Newscast Review

I think our newscast wasn't terrible but it wasn't good. In my opinion it wasn't as good as our first one. I think that we need to improve and need to get better each time instead of doing worse. I think that the i should know my lines better. Also i think all the anchors, including myself, should look up at the camera more often. I think that when we do the weather the stuff around the forecast from the computer shouldn't be on their. It could have been a lot better but I proud of our class for having two newscasts out since we have only been in school for a month. I think we have tons of potential and we all work fantastically together.  

West Side Story Film Review

             West Side Story was in my opinion an excellent movie. This film is modern take on Romeo and Juliet. West Side Story is about two rival gangs, the jets and the sharks. The jets, leader being Biff(Russ Tamblyn), are the gang of Americans who have ran a certain turf for a while. Then the sharks, leader being Bernardo(Geroge Chakris), are the gang of Puerto Ricans who have recently came into town. Neither gangs can coexist and find themselves in trouble with a cop named Officer Krupke who will stop ad nothing to bring them down. Things get heated when Biff's best friend and former Jet Tony(Richard Beymer) finds himself falling in love with Bernardo's sister Maria(Natalie Wood). The love between Maria and Tony ends in tragedy for both sides, and even the people not directly involved.
            The dancing and singing in the movie was not only relevant but very entertaining. Also the story line and overall plot are fantastic. Though there are somethings that could be better. For example in a few of the scenes Tony covers Maria's mouth and part of her face when she is singing. I can also see how the dancing can take away from the gangster characteristic they are going for. West Side Story can easily be loved by any gender. This songs in this film have easily become some of the sucessful songs in music. With remakes done by singers such as Barbra Streisand. The musical numbers are out of this world, and the vocals couldn't be better matched. I would greatly recommend it to anyone wanting to watch a great movie with an even better cast.

The stars of this movie are Natalie Wood, George Chakris, Richard Beymer, Russ Tamblyn, and Rita Moreno. West Side Story was released in 1961 and has won 10 Academy Awards. The run time is 151 minutes and is placed under the genres of; crime, thriller, musical, drama, and romance.

Newscast Review

I think the newscast went well for it being the first one we have aired. Though it went well it think there are some things could have been better. Personally i think that I could have know my lines better. i also thought i could have not shifted and been more serious. Overall i think that we could have been more professional but we are doing well, there is always room for improvement.
